We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Year 5 Teacher to join a reputable ‘Good’ two-form primary school in Essex. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching in a Year 5 setting. Aside from that, the successful Year 5 Teacher will work collaboratively with the school team to ensure all students receive a positive and engaging learning experience.

Responsibilities of a Year 5 teacher:

• As a Year 5 Teacher you will be responsible for the pastoral care of children taking their first steps in Key Stage 2, promoting teamwork, and cultivating a conducive learning environment.

• Teaching the Key Stage 2 curriculum to groups of children while also focusing on each individual child's learning targets, encouraging their strengths, and improving their weaknesses

• Further developing maths ability and introducing fractions, statistics, and geometry

• Help children develop their writing ability by creating plots, characters, and settings for stories.

• Keeping track of children's progress and occasionally reporting back to parents

• Create a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning

• Collaborate with school management, teaching staff and parents to provide quality academic support for Year 5 students.

Year 5 Teacher requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or above in Education, or related field.
• Teaching qualification and QTS.
• At least 2 years of experience in teaching Year 5 students.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Passion for working with children and a commitment to providing high-quality education.
• Ability to create and present engaging and interactive lesson plans.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school staff.
