Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging and interactive Geography lessons that align with the school's curriculum
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages students to explore and develop a deep understanding of geographical concepts
• Utilize various teaching techniques to cater to different learning styles and abilities within the classroom
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their academic development
• Create and implement effective strategies to manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources and best practices for teaching Geography
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and parent-teacher conferences to support student learning and development

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field
• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification
• Proven experience teaching Geography in a primary or secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Effective classroom management skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with the latest educational practices and policies
