The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Economics Teacher to join a thriving and supportive department. This is a full-time permanent position commencing in September 2024, offering the chance to make a real difference in a dynamic learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and stimulating Economics lessons for KS4 and KS5 students, fostering a love of the subject.
• Create and implement innovative lesson plans aligned with the National Curriculum and the school's curriculum framework.
• Employ a range of teaching strategies to cater to diverse learning styles and maximize student potential.
• Effectively assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and individualised support.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the department to share best practices and continuously improve curriculum delivery.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Economics education and curriculum changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A strong degree in Economics or a closely related discipline.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Economics.
• Proven experience of successfully teaching Economics at KS3, KS4 and/or KS5 level.
• A passion for the subject and a commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
