Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum guidelines and national standards.
• Create and maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students' intellectual, social, and emotional development.
• Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and growth.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities and develop engaging teaching materials.
• Establish effective communication channels with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to education and student support.
• Stay updated with the latest educational research, pedagogical approaches, and curriculum developments in the field of History.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events to contribute to the overall school community.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in History or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification recognized in England.
• Proven experience teaching History at the primary or secondary level.
• In-depth knowledge of the History curriculum and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' needs.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to establish and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, students, and parents.
• Passion for education and a commitment to lifelong learning.
• An understanding of safeguarding procedures and the ability to promote the well-being and safety of students.
