Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons to students in accordance with the school's curriculum
• Plan, prepare, and assess science lessons, ensuring differentiation to meet the needs of individual students
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students' progress and achievements
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and participation
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective science teaching strategies
• Monitor and manage student behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures
• Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and keep abreast of current educational trends

Requirements

• Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a science-related field
• Proven experience teaching science at the primary or secondary level
• Knowledge of the national science curriculum and assessment frameworks
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
