About the Role:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our vibrant Food Technology department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and practical lessons to students of all abilities, fostering a love of food and a passion for culinary exploration. You will be expected to:

• Develop and deliver a stimulating curriculum that aligns with the National Curriculum for Food Technology, ensuring a progressive and engaging learning experience.
• Employ creative and effective teaching methods to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety within the Food Technology department.
• Play a key role in the development and implementation of departmental initiatives.
• Contribute to the wider life of the academy, fostering a positive and collaborative school environment.

About You:

• You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Food Technology or a closely related subject.
• You have a proven track record of delivering successful Food Technology lessons, with a demonstrable ability to raise student attainment.
• You are an enthusiastic and passionate educator with a strong commitment to student development.
• You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• You demonstrate a high level of organization and planning, with the ability to manage a busy workload effectively.
• You are committed to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for all students.
