We are partnering with a high-performing school in Southwark seeking an exceptional Head of PE to lead their thriving department.
About the Role:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for the PE department, ensuring the curriculum is engaging, innovative, and aligns with national guidelines.
- Oversee the design and delivery of the PE curriculum across all year groups.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates physical activity and participation for all students.
- Recruit, develop, and manage a dedicated team of PE teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
- Build strong relationships with parents and the wider community to promote the importance of physical education.
You'll be a perfect fit if you:
- Hold a relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and extensive experience in leading a PE department.
- Possess a deep understanding of current trends and best practices in physical education.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and empower staff and students.
- Are passionate about promoting health, wellbeing, and a lifelong love of sports in young people.
- Are an excellent communicator with a collaborative and results-oriented approach.
