We are partnering with a high-achieving academy in Southwark seeking a dynamic Head of PE to lead their growing department.

About the Role:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the PE department, ensuring a curriculum that aligns with national standards and best practices.
• Oversee the design and delivery of engaging and inclusive PE lessons for students across all year groups.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy habits.
• Recruit, manage, and develop a team of talented PE teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive departmental culture.
• Play a key role in developing and maintaining the school's sporting facilities and equipment.
• Represent the PE department at school-wide events and contribute to the wider school improvement initiatives.

You'll be a great fit if you:

• Possess a relevant teaching qualification (QTS or PGCE) and extensive experience in Physical Education leadership.
• Have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful PE curriculums.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for physical activity and a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles amongst students.
• Possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff and students.
• Are a strategic thinker with a focus on continuous improvement and achieving departmental goals.
