The Role:

• Full-time, permanent position starting September 2024 (or sooner if possible).
• Teach Health and Social Care at [GCSE or A-Level] level (please specify in your application).
• Design and deliver stimulating and interactive lessons that explore vital social issues, healthcare systems, and personal development, reflecting the diverse needs of Barking students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to participate and reach their full potential.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and deliver a rigorous and relevant Health and Social Care curriculum.

Who We Are Looking For:

• A qualified Health and Social Care Teacher (QTS) with a passion for inspiring young people.
• Experience teaching Health and Social Care at the specified level is preferred, but we welcome applications from enthusiastic Newly Qualified Teachers (NQT) as well.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
• A commitment to fostering critical thinking skills, social justice, and cultural awareness.
• The ability to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for students to explore sensitive topics.
