About the Role
In this role, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering a stimulating and engaging Food Technology curriculum for students of all abilities. You will be responsible for:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering creative and informative lessons that ignite a passion for food and nutrition in students.
- Utilizing a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Implementing the National Curriculum for Food Technology, ensuring lessons are aligned with national standards.
- Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Contributing to the development of the Food Technology department, including curriculum planning and resource development.
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic working environment within the school kitchen facilities.
About the Person
We are seeking a highly motivated and qualified Food Technology Teacher with:
- A proven track record of success in teaching Food Technology, particularly at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of food science principles, nutrition, and healthy eating practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- The ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters a love of food and practical skills development.
- A commitment to health and safety standards within the kitchen environment.
- A passion for the subject and a desire to inspire the next generation of food enthusiasts.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
