This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual (full-time or part-time considered) to play a pivotal role in shaping the future food enthusiasts of tomorrow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons across Key Stages, culminating in GCSE preparation for relevant year groups.
• Foster a stimulating learning environment that cultivates students' culinary skills, nutritional knowledge, and an appreciation for food science.
• Design and implement a curriculum that aligns with national curriculum guidelines and departmental objectives.
• Ensure a safe and productive learning experience by maintaining a well-equipped kitchen environment and adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Contribute collaboratively to the ongoing development of the Design and Technology department.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Possesses a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design and Technology with a specialism in Food Technology.
• Holds a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience, preferably within a secondary school setting.
• Demonstrates a strong understanding of current curriculum trends and assessment practices in Food Technology.
• Possesses excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Exhibits a genuine passion for food and a commitment to promoting healthy eating habits in young people.
• Maintains a meticulous approach to hygiene and safety standards within the kitchen environment.
• Thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
