We are currently seeking a highly motivated and engaging teacher to join the dynamic Humanities department of a well-regarded, non-denominational mixed academy in West London (ages 11-18). The Role
- You will be responsible for planning, delivering and marking engaging Geography lessons for a range of year groups, in line with the National Curriculum.
- You will effectively assess student progress, identify areas for development, and implement strategies to ensure all students reach their full potential.
- You will contribute to the development of the Geography curriculum, ensuring it is stimulating, relevant and reflects current geographical issues.
- You will play an active role in the wider school life, including attending departmental meetings and parents' evenings.
The Person
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Geography is essential.
- A minimum of two years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting is desirable.
- You possess excellent subject knowledge and a passion for igniting students' interest in the world around them.
- You are a skilled communicator with the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- You have a strong commitment to raising standards and a proven track record of achieving positive outcomes with students.
- You are a team player with a collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
