The Role:

• You will be responsible for planning, delivering and assessing a broad and balanced D&T curriculum across all Key Stages.
• You will have a strong understanding of D&T principles, with the ability to teach a variety of practical and theoretical skills, including:
  • Product design
  • Textiles
  • Food technology
  • Resistant materials
  • Computer-aided design (CAD)
• You will be expected to contribute to the continued development of the D&T curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant, stimulating and aligns with national curriculum requirements.
• You will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, where all students feel supported to achieve their full potential.
• You will be expected to maintain excellent classroom management and behaviour standards.
• Contributing to the wider school community is encouraged.

The Candidate:

• A qualified teacher with a D&T specialism (PGCE or equivalent).
• A minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for D&T.
• The ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment.
• A strong commitment to student achievement and progress.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• IT literate, with a proficiency in relevant D&T software.
