Design & Technology Teacher - Permanent Position - Merton Secondary School
About the Role:
Are you a highly qualified and enthusiastic Design & Technology teacher seeking a new challenge? We are currently partnering with an esteemed secondary school in Merton, South London, to secure a talented individual to join their thriving Design & Technology department on a full-time, permanent basis from September.
This is an exceptional opportunity to inspire and guide the next generation of innovators and problem solvers. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, covering a broad range of topics, including product design, engineering, and graphic design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver innovative and inspiring Design & Technology lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5.
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters creativity and critical thinking.
- Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the Design & Technology curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across the school to share best practices and promote cross-curricular learning.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Design & Technology education and technology.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Design & Technology or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level.
- A passion for Design & Technology and a commitment to inspiring young minds.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
