Economics Teacher Opportunity - Tower Hamlets Secondary School

On behalf of our esteemed client, a high-performing secondary school in Tower Hamlets, we are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Economics Teacher to join their faculty starting in September. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary aligned with the MPS/UPS scale.

The Role:

As an Economics Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering an engaging and rigorous curriculum to students across Key Stages 4 and 5. You will inspire a passion for Economics, equipping students with the knowledge and critical thinking skills necessary for academic success and future endeavors.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver inspiring Economics lessons to KS4 and KS5 students.
• Develop innovative lesson plans and assessments aligned with the school's curriculum objectives.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Economics department and across the wider school community.
• Participate in professional development activities to continuously enhance your teaching practice and expertise.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A degree in Economics or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching Economics at the secondary level (KS4 and/or KS5).
• A strong understanding of the UK Economics curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
