• Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters a love of literature, language and communication.
• Effectively assess student progress and implement strategies to meet individual needs.
• Contribute to the development of the English department and wider school curriculum.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents and colleagues.
• Play an active role in the school community, potentially including extracurricular activities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
• A minimum of 2 years’ successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the English language.
• Strong planning, assessment and differentiation skills.
• The ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
