About the Role

In this full-time, permanent position, you will be responsible for:

• Planning, delivering and assessing engaging and challenging Design Technology lessons across a range of Key Stages (KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5).
• Creating a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters creativity, problem-solving skills and critical thinking in students.
• Effectively utilising the well-equipped design technology facilities to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum.
• Providing clear and constructive feedback to support and challenge students in achieving their full potential.
• Contributing to the development of the Design Technology curriculum and resources.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across the wider school community.

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design Technology is essential.
• Experience of teaching across KS3 and KS4 is highly desirable, with KS5 a bonus.
• A strong passion for Design Technology and the ability to inspire students is key.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to keeping abreast of curriculum developments.
• The ability to create a stimulating and engaging learning environment that promotes inclusion and differentiation.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
