We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced D&T teacher to join a thriving department in a dynamic and successful south London girls' school (rated Outstanding by Ofsted). This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented teacher to play a key role in shaping the future of D&T education within a supportive and ambitious environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess a broad and engaging D&T curriculum for students across KS3, KS4 and potentially KS5.
• Create a stimulating learning environment that fosters creativity, problem-solving skills and a passion for design.
• Effectively utilise a well-equipped workshop environment to ensure a safe and practical learning experience.
• Contribute to the development of the D&T curriculum, ensuring it aligns with national standards and best practice.
• Play a key role in the pastoral care and wellbeing of students.
• Actively participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Design & Technology.
• A minimum of 3 years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• A commitment to fostering a love of design and innovation in students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
