We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Maths to join our dynamic department at a leading independent girls' school in Ealing (rated Outstanding by Ofsted). This prestigious role offers a chance to make a real difference, leading a dedicated team and fostering a lifelong love of learning in students across all age groups (potentially Years 7-13).

What You'll Do:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Maths department, ensuring alignment with the school's overall vision and mission.
• Oversee the planning, delivery, and assessment of a broad and engaging Maths curriculum across all year groups.
• Lead a team of talented Maths teachers, providing ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a passion for Maths.
• Play a key role in curriculum development, keeping it aligned with national standards and best practices.
• Contribute effectively to the wider school community, collaborating with colleagues across different departments.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and school-wide initiatives.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Maths (Leadership experience preferred).
• A minimum of 5 years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting, with demonstrably strong leadership qualities.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students in Maths.
• Strong strategic vision and the ability to translate this vision into a successful departmental plan.
• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• A proven track record of raising standards and achieving excellent student outcomes.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
