We're searching for a talented and dedicated Physics Teacher (or Science Teacher with a Physics specialism) to join our department for a one-year fixed-term contract starting in September. This is your chance to make a real impact, fostering a curiosity and understanding of the fascinating world of Physics in students across various age groups (potentially KS3, KS4 and/or KS5).
Here's what you'll do:
- Craft engaging Physics lessons that ignite critical thinking, problem-solving, and scientific exploration.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods to make Physics concepts accessible and engaging for all students.
- Play a key role in curriculum development, keeping it fresh and aligned with national standards.
- Guide and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback for success.
- Foster a positive and supportive classroom environment, contributing to student well-being.
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Science department to continuously improve the program.
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds QTS with a specialism in Physics (or Science with Physics).
- Has at least 1 year's teaching experience in a secondary school setting (more is a plus).
- Possesses deep Physics knowledge and a passion for scientific discovery that ignites student curiosity.
- Creates engaging and interactive lessons for diverse learners.
- Champions scientific exploration and critical thinking in students.
- Has excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Prioritizes student safeguarding and well-being.
