A well-established Roman Catholic Girls' School in Southwark, London, seeks a highly motivated and qualified Design & Technology (D&T) Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver engaging and stimulating D&T lessons across the curriculum, catering to a range of year groups and abilities.
• Develop and implement a rigorous D&T curriculum aligned with National Curriculum standards, fostering creativity, problem-solving skills, and a practical understanding of design principles.
• Utilize a variety of innovative teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles, ensuring all students achieve their full potential.
• Play an active role in the D&T department's development, including curriculum planning, resource creation, and collaborating with colleagues on departmental initiatives.
• Contribute to the overall academic progress and well-being of students through effective pastoral care and guidance.
• Cultivate positive and collaborative relationships with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Possession of a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Design & Technology is mandatory.
• A demonstrably successful track record of delivering engaging and effective D&T lessons to secondary school students.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A passion for Design & Technology and a proven ability to inspire students to become creative, innovative, and resourceful thinkers and makers.
• Prior experience in utilizing technology within the D&T curriculum is desirable.
