Are you a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) seeking a rewarding opportunity in a supportive school environment?
We are seeking a highly motivated LSA to join our dedicated SEND team within a thriving secondary school in Hounslow. This is a fantastic chance to play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive setting.
About the Role:
- Working collaboratively with teachers and the SENDCO to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with SEND.
- Providing targeted support to students in small groups or on a one-to-one basis, catering to their specific needs and learning styles.
- Assisting with the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons, ensuring all students have the opportunity to thrive.
- Contributing to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters confidence and independence in students.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
- Developing strong relationships with students, parents/carers and teachers, fostering a collaborative approach to supporting SEND needs.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified LSA or possess relevant experience working with students with SEND.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- A strong sense of empathy, patience and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
- A commitment to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Proficiency in using relevant IT systems and maintaining accurate records.
