About the Role:
- Providing strong leadership and direction for the RE department, ensuring a stimulating and well-resourced learning environment.
- Overseeing the development and implementation of a high-quality RE curriculum that aligns with the school's vision and the national curriculum.
- Leading a team of RE teachers, fostering collaboration, professional development, and a commitment to excellence.
- Delivering inspiring and engaging RE lessons across the curriculum, potentially catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11).
- Building strong relationships with students, fostering their critical thinking, empathy, and understanding of diverse religious and philosophical viewpoints.
- Contributing to the wider school community and participating in departmental and whole-school events.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified RE teacher with a proven track record of success in leading and inspiring a department.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for fostering a deep understanding of religious and philosophical concepts.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of teachers.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
