About the Role:
- Leading and motivating a dedicated team of RE teachers, ensuring the delivery of high-quality RE lessons across all year groups.
- Overseeing the ongoing development of the RE curriculum, aligning it with the school's vision, national curriculum requirements, and fostering a culture of religious literacy.
- Delivering inspiring and engaging RE lessons that promote critical thinking, empathy, and respect for diverse religious beliefs and practices.
- Building strong relationships with students, encouraging their intellectual curiosity and fostering a safe space for open and respectful dialogue about religion.
- Contributing to the wider school community, promoting interfaith understanding and fostering a positive and inclusive school environment.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified and experienced RE teacher with a proven track record of leadership and success in a secondary school setting.
- Excellent subject knowledge combined with a passion for fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of religious beliefs and values.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to develop engaging and thought-provoking RE lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- A visionary leader with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of RE teachers, fostering a collaborative and supportive departmental environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
