About the Role:

• Providing strategic leadership and direction for the Geography department, ensuring its curriculum aligns with the school's vision and the National Curriculum.
• Leading the development and implementation of a stimulating and engaging Geography curriculum across Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11).
• Inspiring and motivating a team of Geography teachers, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the Geography curriculum and student progress, making data-driven decisions to ensure high standards.
• Contributing to the wider school curriculum, fostering collaboration with other departments where relevant.
• Building strong relationships with students, parents/carers, and the wider school community.
• Representing the Geography department in school leadership meetings and committees.

• A qualified Geography teacher with a proven track record of success in leadership and departmental management.
