About the Role
We are seeking a part-time, enthusiastic and qualified Music Teacher to join our dynamic department from September 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate musician to play a key role in inspiring and developing the musical talents of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and stimulating Music lessons across the curriculum, catering to a range of ages and abilities.
- Create a stimulating and well-equipped learning environment that promotes a love of music, performance skills, and musical understanding.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Music curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and the National Curriculum.
- Support and encourage students of all abilities to participate in musical activities, both within and beyond the classroom.
- Play a key role in school music productions and performances (pro-rated for part-time role).
- Build strong relationships with students, fostering their confidence and enjoyment of music.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school events, contributing to the wider school community (pro-rated for part-time role).
The Ideal Candidate
- A qualified Music Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring a love of music in students of all abilities.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to be part of a dynamic team and contribute to the ongoing development of the Music department.
