About the Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic part-time Music Teacher to join our dedicated department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to play a key role in delivering an engaging and stimulating Music curriculum to students of all abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering a variety of engaging and stimulating Music lessons across the curriculum, potentially catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and/or Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11), in line with the National Curriculum.
- Creating a dynamic and well-resourced learning environment that promotes creativity, musical expression, and a love of music.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the Music curriculum, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and the latest advancements in music education.
- Identifying and nurturing the musical talents of students, offering opportunities for them to participate in ensembles, choirs, or other musical activities (pro-rated for part-time role).
- Building strong relationships with students, fostering their confidence and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
- Participating in departmental and whole-school events, contributing to the wider school community (pro-rated for part-time role).
The Ideal Candidate
- A qualified Music Teacher with a demonstrable track record of success in engaging students of all abilities.
- Excellent subject knowledge, a passion for music education, and a strong commitment to fostering a love of music in students.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver innovative and effective lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Experience in using a variety of musical instruments and a familiarity with music technology is a plus.
- A commitment to high standards and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- A willingness to be part of a dynamic school and contribute to its ongoing development.
