Position Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Curriculum Delivery: Designing and delivering engaging and differentiated Drama lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Performance Development: Directing and producing school productions, showcases, and other performance opportunities.
- Student Assessment: Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback to support their artistic and academic growth.
- Collaboration: Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Arts department and across the wider school community.
- Professional Growth: Actively participating in continuous professional development to enhance teaching practice and knowledge of the subject area.
Desired Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in Drama or a related field.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- A proven track record of successful Drama teaching at the secondary level.
- A deep understanding of theatrical techniques, genres, and historical contexts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
