About the Role:

• Preparing, setting out, and clearing away equipment and materials for science practicals and examinations across all Key Stages (Years 7-11).
• Ensuring the safe and effective use of laboratory equipment and maintaining accurate stock control procedures.
• Assisting teachers in the preparation and delivery of practical lessons.
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of a well-resourced and safe science learning environment.
• Demonstrating a high level of health and safety awareness and adhering to all laboratory regulations.
• Providing technical support to teachers and liaising with external suppliers as necessary.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Science Technician (or equivalent experience) with a strong understanding of scientific principles and practical procedures.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• A meticulous and safety-conscious approach to working in a laboratory setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
