The Role:

• Develop and deliver engaging and informative History lessons, catering to Key Stage 3 and potentially GCSE curriculums.
• Cultivate a love of historical exploration, critical thinking, and analytical skills within your students.
• Create and implement innovative lesson plans that adhere to national standards and departmental objectives.
• Foster a stimulating learning environment that ignites student curiosity and a passion for the past.
• Contribute collaboratively to the overall growth and success of the History department.
• (Optional, but desirable) Play a role in mentoring and supporting the professional development of colleagues.

We Are Seeking a Candidate Who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History.
• Possesses a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience, ideally within a secondary school environment.
• Demonstrates a deep understanding of current curriculum trends and assessment practices specific to History.
• Exhibits exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
• Holds a genuine passion for creating a dynamic learning space that fosters historical inquiry and student engagement.
• Thrives in a collaborative and supportive team environment.
