About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving department and play a key role in inspiring and developing the next generation of business leaders and economists. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating lessons across the Business & Economics curriculum, preparing students for A-Level examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating Business & Economics lessons for A-Level students.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Stay abreast of current developments in the business and economic world, integrating them into your lessons to enhance student understanding.
• Assessment and Feedback:
  • Develop and implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform future teaching.
  • Provide constructive and timely feedback to help students improve their knowledge and skills.
• Enrichment Activities:
  • Contribute to and potentially lead extracurricular activities related to Business & Economics (e.g., business simulations, guest speaker events, university visits).
• Professional Development:
  • Actively participate in departmental and college-wide professional development opportunities.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Business & Economics teacher with a minimum of 3 years' successful teaching experience at A-Level.
• A proven track record of raising standards in Business & Economics and a demonstrable passion for the subjects.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to staying current with developments in the business and economic world.
• Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and effective lessons.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
