About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of geographers within a supportive and collaborative department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Geography lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and potentially Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11).
Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating Geography lessons, fostering a love of the subject and geographical understanding.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Integrate fieldwork, geographical data analysis, and real-world applications into your lessons.
- Effectively prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (if applicable).

Student Progress:
- Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their academic goals.
- Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning.

Enrichment Activities:
- Contribute to and potentially lead enrichment activities related to Geography (e.g., field trips, guest lectures, geography clubs).
- Foster a love of learning and encourage students to explore their geographical interests beyond the curriculum.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified Geography teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience.
- A strong passion for Geography and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to keep up-to-date with current geographical issues and advancements.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
- A commitment to high standards and creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
