About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the continued success of our English program. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8), Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11) and A-Level English Literature
Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:
- Develop and deliver stimulating and challenging English lessons that foster a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
- Integrate a range of texts, including classic literature, modern fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, to engage students and promote a deep understanding of the English language.
- Effectively prepare students for GCSE, A-Level examinations (if applicable), and develop skills essential for higher education and beyond.

Assessment and Feedback:
- Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their learning journey.
- Employ effective marking and feedback practices to promote student self-reflection and improvement.

Enriching the Learning Environment:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative and engaging teaching methods within the English Faculty.
- Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities related to English, such as creative writing clubs, debate societies, or drama productions.

- Actively participate in the professional development opportunities offered by the school to stay abreast of current trends in English pedagogy.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified English Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience
- A demonstrable passion for English Language and Literature and a strong track record of raising student achievement.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to engage students with a variety of texts and learning approaches.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver well-structured and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
