About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of female athletes and sports enthusiasts within a supportive and collaborative department. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating PE lessons across the curriculum, catering to all students from Years 7 to 13.

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating PE lessons, fostering a love of physical activity, sportsmanship, and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Integrate various sports and activities into the curriculum, promoting participation and skill development.
  • Effectively prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (if applicable).
• Safe Learning Environment:
  • Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment during PE lessons and extracurricular activities.
• Student Progress:
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their learning goals.
  • Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning.
• Enrichment Activities:
  • Coach and lead school sports teams, encouraging participation in inter-school competitions and events.
  • Contribute to and potentially lead enrichment activities related to PE (e.g., sports clubs, fitness workshops, healthy lifestyle initiatives).
  • Foster a love of sports and encourage students to explore their athletic interests beyond the curriculum.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Female PE Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience in a girls' school setting.
• A strong passion for PE and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement in girls' sports.
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to keep up-to-date with current trends in physical education and female sports participation.
• Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons that cater to girls' learning styles.
• A commitment to high standards and creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
• A role model for young women who embodies a healthy and active lifestyle (desirable).
