About the Role:

A high-performing secondary school in West London is seeking a passionate and qualified Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join its dynamic Modern Languages department for a one-year maternity cover contract (start date: September 2024). This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated ECT to gain valuable classroom experience under the guidance of experienced colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and stimulating Spanish lessons across the curriculum, catering to Key Stage 3 (Years 7-8) and Key Stage 4 (Years 9-11).
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
• Foster a love of the Spanish language and culture in your students.
• Effectively assess student progress and inform future teaching strategies.
• Contribute to the development of the Spanish curriculum, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum and departmental goals.

The Ideal Candidate:

 Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A strong passion for the Spanish language and a demonstrable enthusiasm for teaching.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a commitment to staying up-to-date with current language teaching methodologies.
• Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
