About the Role:
- Deliver engaging and stimulating History lessons across the curriculum (Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and potentially A-Level)
- Foster a love of history and develop students' historical knowledge and critical thinking skills
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential
- Integrate innovative teaching strategies and resources to enhance student engagement
- Effectively prepare students for GCSE, A-Level examinations
- Contribute to the development of the History curriculum, ensuring alignment with the National Curriculum and departmental goals
- Play a role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified History Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience
- A strong passion for History and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to keep up-to-date with current historical developments and teaching methods
- Strong pedagogical skills with the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons
- A commitment to high standards and creating a positive and supportive learning environment
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
