About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of athletes and encourage a love of physical activity. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating PE lessons across the curriculum, catering to all Key Stages (Years 7-11).

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating PE lessons, fostering a love of physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles in students.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students reach their full potential.
  • Develop students' physical literacy skills, including movement techniques, fitness development, and participation in a variety of sports.
  • Effectively prepare students for GCSE PE examinations 
• Creating a Positive Learning Environment:
  • Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards physical activity.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Extra-Curricular Activities:
  • Contribute to the school's extra-curricular PE program, potentially coaching teams for various sports.
  • Encourage students to participate in after-school activities and competitions.
• Student Progress:
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their learning goals.
  • Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified PE Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience.
• A strong passion for physical activity and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement in PE.
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to stay up-to-date with current developments in PE teaching.
• Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons.
• A commitment to high standards and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
