About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of athletes and encourage a love of physical activity. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating PE lessons across the curriculum, catering to all Key Stages (Years 7-11).
Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Delivery:
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating PE lessons, fostering a love of physical activity, teamwork, and healthy lifestyles in students.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students develop their physical literacy skills (e.g., coordination, balance, movement techniques).
- Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and a positive attitude towards physical activity.
- Prepare students for relevant PE qualifications

Safe Learning Environment:
- Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment in the gym and on the sports field, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Ensure sports equipment is well-maintained and organized for effective learning.

Student Progress:
- Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their learning goals.
- Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning.

Enrichment Activities:
- Contribute to and potentially lead enrichment activities related to PE (e.g., sports clubs, inter-school competitions, healthy lifestyle workshops).
- Foster a love of sports and encourage students to participate in physical activity beyond the curriculum.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified PE Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience.
- A strong passion for physical activity and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement in PE.
- Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to keep up-to-date with current trends in physical education and healthy lifestyles.
- Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and practical lessons.
- A commitment to high standards, promoting sportsmanship, and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
