About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists and promote a love of scientific exploration. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Science lessons across the curriculum, catering to all Key Stages (Years 7-11).

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating Science lessons, fostering a love of science and scientific inquiry in students.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students develop a strong foundation in scientific concepts and practical skills.
  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills through scientific investigations and experiments.
  • Effectively prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (if applicable).
• Practical Learning:
  • Ensure a safe and effective learning environment in the science labs.
  • Effectively demonstrate and guide students through scientific experiments and practical activities.
  • Foster a love of scientific discovery through hands-on learning opportunities.
• Student Progress:
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their learning goals in Science.
  • Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Science Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience.
• A strong passion for science and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement.
• Excellent subject knowledge across the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and the ability to keep up-to-date with scientific developments.
• Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that incorporate practical activities.
• A commitment to high standards and creating a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
