About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of scientists and promote a love of learning about the natural world. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and stimulating Science lessons across the curriculum, catering to all Key Stages (Years 7-11).

Key Responsibilities:

• Curriculum Delivery:
  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging and stimulating Science lessons, fostering a love of scientific discovery and critical thinking in students.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students develop a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and practical skills.
  • Integrate practical laboratory work and scientific inquiry into the curriculum.
  • Effectively prepare students for GCSE and A-Level examinations (if applicable).
• Engaging Learning:
  • Encourage students' curiosity about the natural world and develop their critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Create a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters a love of scientific exploration.
  • Utilize technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning.
• Student Progress:
  • Track and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to ensure students achieve their learning goals.
  • Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to inform teaching and learning.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A qualified Science Teacher with a minimum of 2 years' successful teaching experience.
• A strong passion for science and a demonstrable track record of raising student achievement.
• Excellent subject knowledge across the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) and the ability to keep up-to-date with current scientific developments.
• Strong pedagogical skills and the ability to deliver engaging and interactive lessons that incorporate practical activities.
• A commitment to high standards and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
