Key Responsibilities:

• Lesson Planning and Delivery:
  • Develop and deliver engaging and informative Food Technology lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and ensure all students can develop their culinary skills effectively.
  • Promote a safe and hygienic environment within the food technology labs, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
• Assessment and Progress:
  • Implement effective assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform future teaching practices.
  • Provide constructive feedback to support students in achieving their learning goals.
• Enrichment (Optional):
  • If opportunity allows, contribute to extracurricular activities related to food technology, such as cooking clubs or food market visits.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Food Technology Teacher with demonstrable teaching experience (supply or permanent).
• Strong passion for food and cooking, with a commitment to fostering healthy eating habits in students.
• Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to deliver clear and concise instructions.
• Effective classroom management skills to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
• Adaptable and flexible approach to temporary contract work.
