A well-established, all-girls' school in Southwark, South London, seeks a dedicated and innovative Food Technology (FT) teacher to join our dynamic faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position offering the chance to shape the future for a new generation of food enthusiasts.
What You'll Do:
- Design and deliver engaging and informative FT lessons across all year groups, adhering to the National Curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and safe learning environment that fosters a love for exploration in the kitchen, practical skills, and a strong foundation in nutrition.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Stay abreast of advancements in the FT field and integrate them seamlessly into the curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the FT department and contribute to school-wide events.
We Seek a Candidate Who:
- Possesses a valid QTS in Food Technology or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrates a fervent passion for food and a captivating teaching style.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Holds a steadfast commitment to safeguarding and promoting student well-being. (Experience in a Catholic school setting a plus).
