We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Drama Teacher to join our thriving team at a Good Ofsted school in Havering!

What will you be doing?

• Design engaging lessons that nurture student confidence, develop acting skills, and foster a lifelong love for the performing arts.
• Guide students through scripts, characters, and theatrical techniques, enabling them to bring stories to life on stage.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop a rich and diverse drama curriculum that caters to a variety of interests and abilities.
• Embrace innovation by incorporating technology, creating opportunities for student-led productions, and staying current with the latest trends in drama education.
• Prepare students for captivating performances, both within the school and on external stages, fostering teamwork and stage presence.

What are we looking for?

• A strong academic background in Drama or Theatre Arts and a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience at the secondary level (preferred).
• A creative and engaging teaching style that incorporates a variety of approaches.
• The ability to create a positive and supportive classroom environment where all students feel comfortable taking risks and exploring their dramatic potential.
• A contagious passion for theatre and a commitment to fostering a lifelong love for the performing arts in students.
