In this leadership role, you will:

  • Empower your team: Motivate and guide a dedicated team of MFL teachers, fostering collaboration and a supportive learning environment.
  • Champion innovation: Stay abreast of the latest trends in MFL education, implementing innovative teaching methods and resources to keep the curriculum dynamic and effective.
  • Ignite a love of languages: Play a key role in developing and implementing engaging language learning programs that spark a passion for languages in students.
  • Drive improvement: Oversee assessment and data analysis, utilizing results to continuously improve the effectiveness of the MFL program.

We're seeking an exceptional leader with:

  • A strong academic background in a Modern Foreign Language and a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Extensive successful teaching experience at the secondary level, with proven leadership qualities in a school setting (preferably as a Head of Department).
  • A demonstrable passion for languages and a commitment to fostering a love of language learning in students.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • A strategic mind with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
