We are seeking an exceptional and dedicated Head of KS5 to join a thriving secondary school in Ealing. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in leading and shaping the post-16 provision, ensuring all students achieve their full potential and thrive in their chosen pathways.
About the Role:
- Leading and motivating a team of talented teachers across a range of subjects, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Overseeing the strategic development and delivery of a high-quality KS5 curriculum, aligned with the school's vision and national requirements.
- Monitoring and evaluating student progress at KS5, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective strategies to raise standards.
- Providing effective pastoral care and guidance to students, ensuring their well-being and supporting their transition to higher education or employment.
- Liaising closely with parents/carers, keeping them informed of their child's progress and future opportunities.
- Contributing to the wider school leadership team, shaping the strategic direction of the school.
- Managing the KS5 budget effectively and ensuring resources are utilised to maximise student outcomes.
- Representing the school at external events and fostering strong relationships with universities, colleges, and employers.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified teacher with significant leadership experience at KS5 level, ideally within a similar school setting.
- A strong track record of success in raising standards and achieving excellent student outcomes at KS5.
- Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate, inspire and develop a team of staff.
- Strategic planning and vision, with a deep understanding of the current KS5 landscape and future educational trends.
- The ability to build strong relationships with students, parents/carers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to high standards, a data-driven approach, and a relentless focus on student progress.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
