Part-Time DT Technician - Established Mixed School in Kensington
A large, established mixed school in Kensington seeks a part-time, permanent DT Technician to join its dedicated team. This position offers the opportunity to make a real difference, starting in September 2024.
About the Role:
- You will work in partnership with class teachers to support the delivery of the Design and Technology curriculum across all year groups (tailored to the National Curriculum).
- You will play a key role in maintaining a safe and well-equipped workshop environment.
- You will assist with the preparation, set-up, and clearing of practical activities.
- You will ensure the smooth running of the DT department and contribute to the overall development of the curriculum.
- You will be expected to keep up-to-date with health and safety regulations in a workshop setting.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses relevant experience in a workshop environment, such as carpentry, metalwork, or electronics.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of Health and Safety (H&S) regulations.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is a team player with a flexible and positive attitude.
- Holds a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
