About the Role:
- Design and deliver engaging and informative Sociology lessons across all year groups, adhering to the curriculum.
- Cultivate a stimulating and respectful learning environment that encourages debate, critical analysis, and social awareness.
- Guide students in developing a comprehensive understanding of sociological theories, concepts, and contemporary social issues.
- Prepare students for success in external examinations (GCSE, A-Level, as applicable).
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Sociology department and contribute to school-wide events.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Possesses a valid QTS in Sociology or a closely related discipline (Social Sciences, Humanities).
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of sociological principles and a passion for fostering social inquiry in young people.
- Excels in communication, interpersonal skills, and classroom management within a diverse learning environment.
- Fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and open discussions.
