Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging English lessons for students across various age groups (potentially KS3, KS4 and/or KS5).
- Create a stimulating learning environment that encourages critical thinking, effective communication, and a passion for literature.
- Play a vital role in curriculum development, ensuring alignment with national standards and student interest.
- Guide and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Contribute to the pastoral care and well-being of students, fostering a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and continuously refine the English curriculum.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English.
- Minimum of 3 years' successful experience in a secondary school setting.
- In-depth knowledge of the English language and a passion for literature that inspires students.
- Proven ability to create engaging and interactive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Commitment to fostering a love of reading and writing in students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
