• You will create a stimulating learning environment that fosters a love for the English language and literature.
• You will play a key role in supporting students to develop their literacy skills, critical thinking and analytical abilities.
• You will contribute to the development of the English curriculum, ensuring it aligns with national standards and school objectives.
• You will be expected to track student progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement effective strategies to support individual learning needs.
• You will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported.
• Collaboration is key! You will work effectively with colleagues within the English department and across the wider school community.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English.
• A minimum of two years' successful teaching experience in a secondary school setting.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for the English language and literature.
• Strong planning, teaching and assessment skills.
• The ability to differentiate lessons to cater for the needs of all learners.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• IT literate with a strong working knowledge of relevant educational software and technologies.
