We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sociology ECT to join our vibrant department in Bournemouth.

About the Role:

• Deliver engaging and thought-provoking Sociology lessons that explore social structures, cultures, and contemporary issues, with a focus on the unique dynamics of a coastal community (where applicable)
• Develop students' critical thinking skills and equip them to analyze the world around them, drawing insights from the coastal environment
• Foster a love for learning about diverse societies and promoting social awareness in a beautiful seaside location
• Contribute to the development of our curriculum to ensure it is relevant, engaging, and reflects the social fabric of a coastal town
• Play a vital role in our supportive and inclusive school community

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Sociology or a relevant social science subject
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine interest in exploring the complexities of human interaction and social systems, with a particular interest in coastal communities (if applicable)
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• A commitment to fostering open-mindedness and respect for diverse perspectives on society, especially within a coastal setting
